Background Screening SignUp/Info

Hi everyone,

So it looks like the portal for doing the newly required level 2 background and fingerprint screening starting July 1st, 2025 is now up and operational. You can see it here: https://flhealthsource.gov/background-screening/

If you've ever done this for credentialing with Tricare, it looks p similar. You will fill out the requisite information on the site, it will give you the option to schedule an appointment for a LiveScan finger printing either directly through the website or on your own with a certified LiveScan place (lots of UPS and Fed Ex places are. You can also usually do your local sheriff's office on specific days). It will give you a form with an ORI number that will connect everything together.

After you get your ORI form and fingerprints done, you are basically good- keep the information on file just in case it is ever asked for.

For those PMing asking about what types of legal issues or charges would pop up on a level 2 background check or if something would disqualify them from holding licensure, IANAL so I don't fully know. My BEST GUESS is that anything disclosed during your initial licensing or throughout the process of being licensed will be looked upon better than if they found something new through the level 2. So if there's anything you want to report, you might wanna do it now.
