Service Description

This course is designed for mental health professionals who are interested in developing their skills in clinical supervision and pursuing the Qualified Supervisor credential through the state of Florida. The course will provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively supervise therapists, including how to establish a collaborative relationship, provide feedback, and promote professional growth. This course meets State of Florida education requirements for LMHCs, LCSWs, & LMFTs to become credentialed as Qualified Supervisor. Topics covered in this course include: 1. The role of the clinical supervisor 2. Ethical and legal considerations in clinical supervision 3. Establishing a collaborative relationship with supervisees 4. Providing effective feedback 5. Promoting professional growth and development 6. Addressing challenging situations in supervision 7. Resources for clinical supervisors This course is appropriate for mental health professionals who: 1. Are interested in becoming clinical supervisors 2. Are new to clinical supervision and want to develop their skills 3. Are experienced clinical supervisors who want to enhance their practice Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to: 1. Understand the role and responsibilities of a clinical supervisor 2. Apply ethical and legal principles to clinical supervision 3. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with supervisees 4. Provide effective feedback to supervisees 5. Promote the professional growth and development of supervisees 6. Address challenging situations in supervision 7. Identify resources for clinical supervisors This course is approved by the Florida Board of Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling for 12 general CEs and the Qualified Supervisor credential. Training schedule is 9am-4pm for TWO days, the first scheduled day on the calendar and the day after.

Cancellation Policy

To ensure the best experience for all participants and to keep our small-group settings sustainable, please review our policies below. 1. Registration & Payment Secure Your Spot: Full payment is required at the time of registration to guarantee your seat. Confirmation: Once payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with class details and any required materials. 2. Cancellations and Refunds We understand that life happens. If you need to cancel, our policy is that you cancel within 2 weeks of the designated CEU training. Cancellations done within the allowed timeframe will be fully refunded. Cancellations within the 2 week mark will result in NO REFUND given for the training. If you have concerns with this or an emergency within that timeframe that must be attended to, please message a modmin or email admin@floridatherapistnetwork.com to discuss. 3. Attendance Attendance to all 12 hours of this course is MANDATORY in order for you to receive proper credit. You may not attend one day and not the other, and you may not be any later than 20 minutes to the start of the day. Those who sign up and are over 20 minutes late to either day will not be allowed into the room and miss out on the training. You will also not be allowed a refund. Please make sure you are giving appropriate time and space within your schedule to properly attend the training. 4. CEUs CEUs will be automatically uploaded to CEBroker within 3 business days of completing the CEU training. You will complete a final evaluation for the training and then be sent your CEU Certificate for your own records. CEUs will not be uploaded to CEBroker until all evaluations are in.
